About Will Powered
This new community initiative between Women Illawarra and Meegie’s Movement is designed to improve access to Will preparation services for women experiencing separation, relationship breakdown, financial hardship, domestic and family violence, and other significant life transitions.
The initiative was inspired by the legacy of Megan Best, and a shared commitment to ensuring women have access to the legal protections that can make a lasting difference to their future and the future of their families.
For many women, creating or updating a Will becomes critically important following separation. Unfortunately, financial pressures and competing priorities often mean estate planning is delayed or overlooked. Through this partnership, we hope to remove barriers and connect eligible women with legal professionals willing to support them through pro bono or reduced-fee services.
